There are a few steps to take before uploading files:
First, verify that the file has been prepared correctly for print. If you are sending page layout files, please read our brochure Electronic File Preparation.
If you plan on creating an Adobe PDF, please read our PDF creation guidelines: Creating PDFs for print, which includes screenshots from popular page layout programs and a link to our Adobe Job Options file, which will appear in Adobe's presets drop-down menu.
Second, if you are sending page layout files, include all used fonts and images. The easiest way to do that is to select the menu item "Collect for Output..." (Quark), "Package.." (InDesign) or "Save for Service Provider..." (PageMaker). These commands will allow you to gather all elements in a single folder.
Finally, compress your files. If you are sending multiple files, or have gathered all files as described in the preceding paragraph, create a single archive from those files or folder. We recommend using Stuffit for Macintosh files, or WinZip for PC files.
Fill out the form and then click on the "Browse' button below to select a Stuffit or WinZip archive on your computer, then click the "Send File" button.
